Bennie Roy Parks, 78, a resident of Henryetta, Oklahoma, passed away Thursday, October 2nd, 2025 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Bennie was born March 31st, 1947 in Fairland, Oklahoma to Laverne Ilene(Pickett) and Roy Monroe Parks.
Bennie is preceded in death by his parents, one sister Susie Kay Cartnell, maternal grandparents, Evelyn and RW Pickett, and paternal grandparents, Ursula and AD Parks.
Bennie moved with his parents to Seminole when he was a toddler, then to Cortez, Colorado for about a year while in grade school before returning to Seminole when he attended Strothers School where he played basketball. He graduated and entered the Air Force, serving for 4 years. While in the military he married Karen Heaster and were blessed with a son, Mike and daughter Tracie. He also worked as a Crew Chief for maintenance on US Government helicopters for about a year, would return home and help his grandpa build his home. He went on to work for UPS starting as a driver and retiring as Manager for two Service Centers. Bennie worked his own delivery service delivering Avon and Amway (1993-1995).while also owning and operating, with the help of his family the Pizza Stampede (1985-1995) in Inola. In 1999 he started another career in driving and management with Aurora and later Matthews Aurora Casket Company. Bennie and Leila (Smock) were married in 2003 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. The had twenty three years together, working, farming, building fence, raising children and enjoying many hours with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Together they spent time in worship and fellowship with their church family at the Henryetta Church of Christ
Bennie lived a full life, a man of honor and dignity, the eldest son that grew under the example of meaning of family and hard work. A brother who taught his little brother to watch our for flying darts yer prepared his sister’s bottle and hung her diapers. A dad to two sons and two daughters that he worked hard to provide for, attending ballgames, feeding the team, working concession, and supporting the band. Helping build a home and into the lives of his daughters. He tried to teach them about life and a little humor. He was a papa with the best lap for hugs and reading books. He was a friend for life, for any way he could help another. a listener, a man of few words, a kind gentle loving man who made a difference in the lives of all who knew him.
Bennie survived by his wife, Leila,, of the home, children, Mike Parks and wife Carolyn of Inola, Oklahoma, Tracie Brown and husvandDaniel) of Inola, Oklahoma, Amanda Ayers (Kent) of Tulsa, Oklahoma, E.J. Smock (Sharise) of Jenks, Oklahoma, grandchildren, Amanda Meeker (Eli), of Claremore, Oklahoma, Cheyenne Carter (Dylan)of Inola, Oklahoma, Shaun Smock-Green of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Christina Brown of Inola, Oklahoma, Christian Brown of Inola, Oklahoma, Milly Fisher, of Coweta, Oklahoma, Abraham Smock, Samuel, Smock, Sophia Smock, and Stella Smock, all of Jenks, Oklahoma, great-grandchildren, Emma, Ian and Raylix, close cousin David Burns of Claremore as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.
Family wants to thank all those who have been so helpful, supportive in prayer and deed through these days of transition.

Viewing for Bennie is scheduled for Thursday, October 9th, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Integrity Funeral Service in Henryetta, OK.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 10th, 2025, at 1:00 PM at the Church of Christ in Henryetta, OK, with Bro. Rex Walcher officiating.
