Obituary For Douglas Eugene “Doug” Herrick, 63, of Eufaula, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday, April 5, 2026.
He was born May 11, 1962, in Rochester, Minnesota, to Ronald Herrick and Judy Herrick (Nelson).
Doug married the love of his life, Karen Thomas, on June 9, 1999, in Dewar, Oklahoma. Douglas Eugene “Doug” Herrick spent his life as a hardworking provider and was known as a man of few words who loved his family deeply and unconditionally.
Doug proudly served his country in the United States Army and the Air National Guard. He later retired from BNSF Railroad, where he worked as a bridge foreman.
Douglas Eugene “Doug” Herrick was a devoted husband, father, and papaw who treasured time with his family.
Doug is survived by his wife, Karen Herrick of the home; his children Melody Thrailkill of Henryetta, Oklahoma; Jennifer Webb and husband Tim of Mannford, Oklahoma; Dustin Herrick and wife Lauren of Jenks, Oklahoma; Joshua Parker and wife Jessica of Henryetta, Oklahoma; Raychel Kootz of Rogers, Arkansas; and Bobby Garrett and wife Desirae of Henryetta; his brothers Dan Herrick and Ted Herrick; his sister Kim Chapman; and 16 grandchildren: Deontay, Domonick, Daniel, Kyle, Natalie, Jonathan, Haylie, Rylei, Joshua Jr., Zechariah, Chloe, Jude, Rusty, Lucy, Noel, and Raelyn.
Douglas Eugene “Doug” Herrick was preceded in death by his parents and grandchildren, Ruby and Opal.
Doug will be remembered as a great father, papaw, and husband who loved his family without condition.
Honorary pallbearers will be Deontay Parker, Domonick Parker, Kyle Thrailkill, Joshua Parker, Bobby Garrett, Dustin Herrick, Daniel Webb, Johnathan Webb, and Zechariah Webb.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at 11:00 AM, at Integrity Chapel.
