Okmulgee County Republicans to Hold Official Precinct Meetings and County Convention

Okmulgee, OK – The Okmulgee County Republican Party will hold its Official Precinct Meetings and County Convention on Saturday, March 8, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Jubilee Christian Center Fellowship Hall, 12430 N 230 Rd, Okmulgee, OK.

This important event allows local Republicans to meet fellow party members in their precincts, elect local officers, and submit proposals for county and state party platform changes. Additionally, attendees can sign up as delegates to the County Convention, the next step toward participating in the State Republican Convention on May 3 in Oklahoma City.

Event Schedule:

  • 9:00 a.m. – 9:45 a.m.: Check-in (participants must check in by 9:45 a.m. to be eligible to vote in the County Convention).
  • 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.: Precinct Meetings (elect precinct officers, propose platform changes, and sign up as convention delegates).
  • 11:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.: Check-in for non-voting guests.
  • 11:30 a.m.: County Convention convenes.
  • 11:45 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.: Guest Speaker: Congressman Josh Brecheen (via Zoom).
  • 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.: Convention business (elect county officers, vote on platform and rules changes).
  • 1:30 p.m.: Adjournment.

Who Can Attend?

All registered Republicans in Okmulgee County, as of February 28, 2025, are encouraged to participate. A government-issued photo ID or voter registration card is required for entry, similar to voting requirements.

This convention is a vital step in grassroots political involvement and will help shape the future of the Republican Party at the county and state levels.
