Green Country Technology Center (GCTC) continues to play a vital role in preparing the next generation of skilled workers. Currently, 34.46% of area juniors and seniors are enrolled in GCTC programs at no cost to families.
GCTC’s Workforce and Economic Development Department partners with Okmulgee County industries to provide specialized and custom training aimed at upskilling local workers. Additionally, Short-Term Courses—such as Phlebotomy, CMA, EMT, and even hobby classes like Photography and Crochet—offer flexible learning opportunities for both career advancement and personal enrichment.
As enrollment steadily increases, the demand for updated equipment and additional training space has grown. To address these needs, a proposed levy increase will appear on the May 13 ballot. The funds generated by this increase would support improvements to student training facilities and resources.
