Obituary For Rose Louise Robertson June 9 1935 – June 10 2026
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Rose Louise Robertson on June 10, 2026 at the age of 91. Louise was born on June 9, 1935 in Pharoah, Oklahoma to George and Nancy (Nee Manion) Patterson. She was the last of her generation and was ready to move to her forever home in heaven.
When Louise was a toddler the family moved to Los Angeles, CA where she started school and met her best lifelong friend Ms. Irene Roggia of Lyons OR. They have been friends for over 85 years. A few years later Louise and her family moved back to Oklahoma to live on the farm. Saying goodbye to her friend, concrete sidewalks and paved roads to saying hello to open fields, muddy roads and no kids close by, but she adapted and flourished in her new environment.
Louise met the love of her life, her beloved husband, James “Jack” Robertson and they married in 1950. They knew straight away that they were meant for each other. He had just returned from his two-year enlistment in the army in Germany and had received notice that he was being recalled for the Korean war and would leave in two weeks. When he returned from the Korean war, they eventually bought a farm/ranch near the community of Dustin, OK where she lived for 65 years. They built a wonderful life together through the blessings of the Lord, hard work and keeping a high degree of integrity. Louise was known for her faith in the Lord, hard work ethics, being a wonderful cook, having love and support for her family and community.
Louise worked on the farm and ranch raising 5 boys and worked for the Dustin OK, post office for 30 years. Serving as the postmaster for most of those years. After retiring in 1998, she became an accomplished artist and was instrumental in forming the Henryetta Art Association. She was an active member of the Dustin First Baptist church where she taught Sunday school, made many great memories and had a positive impact on many area youth.
Preceded in joining the Lord were her mother & father, George and Nancy Patterson, her husband James “Jack” Robertson. Her siblings Mary, Dorothy, Fred, Jeannie and Michael. Her sons, James “Jackie” Robertson and Mickey Robertson and grandson Billy Robertson
